We stayed at the Shangri La in Bangkok superb 5*hotel located on the River front and next to the Sky train stop.
Whilst there I also visited numerous hotel’s all different in style, here is a run-down of my two favourites. The Aloft Sukhumvit is an excellent choice to young people looking for night life but don’t want to comprise on luxury.
The Anantara is another fantastic 5* hotel also located on the Riverfront, it has a resort feel and is a relaxing haven in the bustling city of Bangkok, ideal for couples and families.
The vibrant city of Bangkok has something for everyone from Sightseeing to shopping (my favorite past time).
With many modes of transport from the Sky Train which travels around the City to the calm river boat transfers, but if you’re feeling adventures the crazy Tuk Tuk’s are not to be missed.
The Grand Palace is absolutely stunning and a must see, but everyone including men must have their knee’s covered, you can buy trousers with elephants on the outside!!!!
Whilst in this superb city it would be rude not to indulge in a bit of Thai cooking…
But my favourite Bangkok experience were the floating markets an experience I will never forget travelling down the canal, looking at the house’s and the baby croc’s, you can then go on a paddle boat to haggle for the best deal at various stalls or if you prefer to shop on land there’s a walk way over the bridge.
