Burj Al Arab in Dubai

The Burj Al Arab, Dubai by Zoe

To add on to the end of our Maldives trip we stayed in Dubai for 3 nights where we were lucky enough to stay at the Burj Al Arab!! We were met with our own personal butlers, who gave us Arabian tea and cold towels, and took us to our rooms…which were WOW!!

The leading room type is a One Bedroom Deluxe Suite, and Deluxe it is!!

The rooms had everything, electronic curtains, huge Jacuzzi bath, Hermes toiletries; even the TV was gold and had the option to answer the door by video call!

Both inside and outside the hotel is extremely eye catching but what stood out to me was the service. From the moment we arrived the staff make you feel very special and certainly make great efforts to personalise the experience.

Al Mahara, one of the restaurants in the Burj, has a floor to ceiling aquarium in the middle of the restaurant which is spectacular. However if you wanted to make the experience a bit more special, the hotel offer a ‘Romantic Package’, where a diver will swim down in front of your table, holding a board with a message on of your choice!

If you’re staying in Dubai, I would recommend going to the Burj for dinner, drinks or afternoon tea – simply for the experience! (Reservations must be made)

Most of the Jumeriah properties have the option to go half board which includes up to 50 restaurants in Dubai and the surrounding Jumeriah properties! A brilliant option if you like to try different places to eat on holiday!

We ended our trip with a Desert Safari which was brilliant! About an hour drive from the hotel and we were surfing over the sand dunes in a big jeep…SO much fun! We stopped to watch the sunset and then carried on to a camp in the middle of the desert where there was a BBQ, camel riding and sand boarding! Definitely worth a go! Dubai offers many other excursions such as dune buggy, marina cruises and CAMEL POLO!!
