St Lucian Sandals by Rachael

Well what can I say about Sandals and St Lucia… Wow Wow and Wow!

It was my first time at a Sandals resort and it won’t be my last. I stayed at the Grande in Rodney Bay right next to Pigeon Island National Park. The whole resort is beautiful with landscaped gardens and white sand beaches it’s just perfect.

There are 12 restaurants to choose from and each and every one serve amazing food, from pizza to lobster everything was included, whatever you wanted you could have!

The resort has 5 pools, from relaxing quiet pools to the entertainment pool with its swim up bar there’s something for everyone and you can choose what kind of day you want whether you want a busy day or do nothing at all!

The entertainment team really do work nonstop and it really ranged from a solo singer on the lawn to a Caribbean beach party with a band. If you wanted a quite night there was always a fire pit to sit around with a nice cold drink.

There are 3 Sandals resorts in St Lucia… Grande, La Toc and Halycon. These other resorts are around 20-25 minutes from the Grande and a free shuttle bus runs between them all day until late. You can dine at any restaurants within these resorts giving you access to 27 restaurants!!

Everything is included at this resort from food, drinks and water sports, book a club room and you even get drinks of your choice in your room!

The resorts are based at the north of the island with the airport down in the south so we had the helicopter transfer from the airport which sandals can pre-book for you to get us to the north of the island in around 10 minutes! This was the best way to travel as we seen so much including the Pitons and Jade Mountain.

We had the mini bus transfer back to the airport which was around 1 hour 20 minutes – we travelled on a Sunday which apparently makes a difference of around 40 minutes to the transfer as the roads are a lot quieter.

There’s so much more I could tell you! It really is 5 star luxury!
