I have just returned from a fabulous holiday in Selva Val Gardena!
There had been very little snowfall before we travelled but we needn’t have worried! The pistes were in fantastic condition thanks to the extensive snowmaking throughout the Dolomiti Superski area and most runs were open. Fresh snowfall as we arrived gave us snow in the trees and super conditions all week!
The area is massive and best suited to confident intermediates who love to cover some distance on skis. We hardly did the same run twice!
The many mountain restaurants (full of charm and very reasonably priced) added to the enjoyment of our holiday.
Selva is a beautiful little town and, surrounded by the stunning Dolomites scenery, it makes a fantastic base in winter or summer. We hope to return!
