About the Role
As a Branch Manager at Cockermouth Travel, you will be responsible for leading your branch to success by driving sales and providing exceptional customer service. You’ll manage day-to-day operations, motivate your team, and create an inspiring environment for both customers and staff. Additionally, you will take ownership of your business development action plan, identifying growth opportunities and implementing strategies to attract new customers and build lasting relationships with the local community.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and inspire your team to meet and exceed sales targets, cultivating a culture of success and teamwork.
- Develop and execute a tailored business development action plan to grow your branch’s customer base and increase revenue.
- Build strong relationships with customers, ensuring their travel needs are met with professionalism and care.
- Oversee the planning and booking of bespoke holidays, cruises, and tailor-made trips.
- Monitor branch performance, proactively addressing challenges and celebrating achievements.
- Keep your team updated and trained on the latest travel trends, products, and services.
- Manage staff schedules and ensure smooth daily operations.
- Working with your team on their own Personal Development Plans and setting goals for progression and achievement.
- Driving sales of Foreign Exchange and Ancillaries to optimise the profitability of the branch.
About You
- Previous experience managing a team is essential.
- A genuine passion for travel and it’s ever changing landscape.
- A desire to embrace new customer travel trends and an understanding of the impact of Global events on how people travel.
- A tenacious, positive and driven individual with a proven track record of reaching and exceeding personal targets.
- A natural leader, with the ability to inspire and motivate your team on a daily basis.
- Flexibility to work within changeable or reactive situations.
- Commercial awareness, with an eye for detail, opportunity and keeping up to date with competitor activity and new products in the market.
- Strong communication skills – the ability to be able to adapt and communicate confidently with colleagues and customers in all situations.
